All of these manmade structures were completely abandoned by civilization, many times without reason or after a terrible disaster. They are hauntingly beautiful and remaining standing today. They are completely alone; you’ll be in awe of each and every one.
1.) The House of the Bulgarian Communist Party on Mount Buzludzha, abandoned because the political party lost its grip on the country.
Rarely visited, but still imposing.
2.) Abandoned wartime Redsands forts still stand in the Thames.
Cut off from humans, a creepy sight in Kent.
3.) A Russian rocket factory outside of Moscow.
Rocket remnants are still located inside.
4.) The Hotel del Salto in Columbia opened in 1928, but now trees are growing through all of its rooms, making it look haunted.
5.) In 1963, earthquakes scared away tourists from medieval village of Craco Basilicata.
6.) The flooded Bodiam Castle near Robertsbridge in East Sussex looks romantic, but is completely flooded.
7.) The entire town of Pripyat, built for Chernobyl, was abandoned after the incident.
No one even cleaned up the streets.
The town is still abandoned.
8.) The Angkor Wat in Cambodia is a temple completely overrun by nature.
Tourists flock to this destination to see where nature took over.
9.) A lone airplane crash landed in Antartica… and left there.
10.) The Nara Dreamland Park in Japan, shut down in early 2000s.
It was built in the 1960s, but just abandoned.
